Data Privacy, Security and Safety

QuickPlanX is primarily used for business projects and handles sensitive personal and organizational data. We hold ourselves to a strict standard when it comes to your data privacy, security, and safety.

Privacy​

QuickPlanX uses Apple's CloudKit to store your projects directly in your own private iCloud account — this is the single source of truth for your data. We do not store any of your project data on our own servers.

  • Your data belongs to you. Only you — and the people you explicitly share it with — can access your projects.
  • Apple encrypts all CloudKit data both in transit and at rest.
  • Apple does not access or use your data for any purpose.

Local copies of your projects are cached on your devices and kept in sync via iCloud. Access to these local copies is protected by your device's operating system security — including Face ID, Touch ID, and passcode authentication on iOS, and login credentials on macOS.

Security​

Your project data is protected at two layers:

iCloud layer — Projects stored in CloudKit are secured by Apple's iCloud infrastructure. Access requires authentication with your Apple ID, and Apple's end-to-end encryption ensures that data cannot be read in transit.

Device layer — Local copies on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac are protected by iOS and macOS system security. Unauthorized access to your device is prevented by the operating system's built-in authentication mechanisms.

QuickPlanX itself does not transmit your project data to any third-party service. All data flow is between your devices and your iCloud account.

Safety​

QuickPlanX provides several layers of protection to prevent accidental data loss and give you control over your data at all times.

Trash​

QuickPlanX does not allow projects to be permanently deleted directly from the My Projects view. Instead, deleted projects are moved to the Trash, where you can review them and choose to restore or permanently delete them at your discretion.

QuickPlanX offers multiple ways to keep your data safe with local backups, independent of iCloud:

Recovery from iCloud​

Since iCloud is the single source of truth for your project data, QuickPlanX supports recovering your projects directly from iCloud within the app — useful if local data becomes out of sync or is lost on a device.
